3 Ways to Support Your Heart Health This May

With poor cardiovascular health being one of the leading health issues in Australia for both men and women, it is important to understand how to support your heart health on a daily basis.[1]

Below are 3 tips on how you can support your heart health in the best way possible everyday.

1. Limit Unhealthy Fats
Limiting the amount of saturated and trans fats that you eat may be an important step in helping reduce your blood cholesterol and potentially lowering your risk of coronary artery issues.[2] A high blood cholesterol level may lead to a buildup of plaques in your arteries and increase your risk of developing heart health issues.[3]

2. Consider a Ubiquinol supplement
Ubiquinol may play a role in supporting your cardiovascular health in multiple ways. The heart is one of the body’s vital organs as it is required to pump blood around the entire body, therefore requiring large amounts of cellular energy.

Ubiquinol is the active form of CoQ10 and helps support cellular energy production levels through the synthesis of ATP in the mitochondria of the cell.[4]

3. Exercise Regularly
Regular physical activity is one of the best things you can do for your heart health. Increasing your physical activity from as little as 10 minutes a day to the Australian Government’s recommended 30 to 45 minutes a day, five or more days of the week, may help reduce your risk of developing long-term heart health issues.[5]
