Kaneka Corporation recently participated in the annual Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA) conference, held in Sydney’s Darling Harbour from 25 – 26 October 2017.
The CMA is the leading expert association exclusively committed to a vital and sustainable complementary healthcare products industry. The CMA represents all participants in the complementary healthcare industry, including raw material suppliers like Kaneka.
The association’s annual conference is the key industry event of the year, and this year’s theme was “The Science in the Story”.
The conference attracted around 200 delegates, who gathered to hear a diverse range of experienced keynote speakers from Australia and around the world. Highlights were talks by: Carl Gibson, the CMA’s CEO; Dr Mark McDonald, assistant secretary of the Complementary and OTC Medicines Branch of the TGA; Zhang Zhonpeng, director of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products; and pharmacist and master herbalist Gerald Quigley, among others from industry, regulators and academia.
Kaneka was a proud sponsor of the event, with the team able to spend time with delegates at their booth in between session talks, network and identify new opportunities, and educate health professionals about Ubiquinol.
Ubiquinol is the active form of CoQ10, which has been reduced to make it more easily usable by the body. It is well known for its antioxidant properties, helping to mop up free radicals that cause oxidative stress and also helping to reduce levels of inflammation.
Kaneka looks forward to continuing a close and fruitful association with CMA in the future.
