Whatever your level of exercise, ubiquinol has received attention in the area of sports nutrition due to its important role in energy metabolism and as a powerful antioxidant in the body, helping reduce oxidative stress and muscle damage, support athletic performance and aid recovery.
A study of a group of male long-distance runners found that 300 mg of ubiquinol a day elevated plasma concentration, supported muscle function, maintained healthy tissue and reduced the fatigue of the runners after 25 and 40 km distances during summer training.[1]
